Planned by Tirol
The last section of the Eagle Walk takes you to the Lucknerhaus on about 40 kilometers from Matrei in East Tyrol. You can hike the route well in four stages, whereby the Sudetendeutsche Hütte, the Kalser Tauernhaus and the Stüdlhütte are suitable as stage destinations. For the hike through the high mountains, you need sturdy shoes, good slip resistance and alpine experience. On this final part of the Eagle Walk, you can once again enjoy the fascinating mountain scenery and let your gaze wander over the sugared peaks. On the Edelweißwiese, you may even discover a specimen of the rare Alpine flower. The highest point of the Garnet Point group is the Great Muntanitz (3,232 meters), which you have in view from the trail. You can also see fascinating mountains and rocks such as the board top and board wall from the mountain trails. The steeply arranged mica schists are reminiscent of smooth boards, hence their name. At the Lucknerhaus you have reached the destination and can proudly and satisfied look back on 33 stages through the mountains of Tyrol. If you do not have enough, you have the opportunity to explore two nature trails from the Lucknerhaus - a nice end to the mountain adventure on the Adlerweg.
