The deep blue Achensee is the largest lake in Tyrol - and of course you have the most beautiful view of this natural jewel on a hike in the surrounding mountains. If you also have a cabin stop on your tours then we have the right hike for you. From Eben, on the eastern edge of the lake, we lead you on beautiful forest paths up to the Buchauer Alm. On the way there are always wonderful views of the sparkling Achensee and at your stop you can finally spoil yourself with Tyrolean delicacies. The starting point of your tour is the tolled hiking car park at the Notburgakirche in Eben. From here, you briefly cross the main road and then follow the Notburgasteig into romantic mountain forest. After a while, the signposted hiking trail branches off to the Buchauer Alm. The wide trail climbs moderately and leads you past several viewpoints overlooking the Achensee. On the last meters of altitude, the path meanders in several hairpin bends until you reach the wide meadows around the Buchauer Alm. Here you have earned a long break before it goes back to the starting point on the same way.
