This run connects three really beautiful and interesting places in the Inn Valley: At the start the historic old town of Hall is definitely worth a look. Along the wooded southern slopes of the Inn Valley, you then head towards Aldrans, the popular holiday village on the sunny plateau just outside Innsbruck. From here it goes down into the valley until the track ends in the middle of the impressive old town of Innsbruck.Despite the urban highlights at the beginning and at the end of the route, a lot of nature awaits you in between. When you cross the Inn in Hall, you leave the city behind. You walk over the Kienbergsteig through several forest sections that give you shade, which is very pleasant, especially in summer. In between, you can always enjoy a great view of the Inn Valley, because here and there the forest opens up and gives a wonderful panoramic view. You reach the highest point of the route just before the idyllic Herzsee lake near Aldrans - you can see the church tower of the small community from afar. From now on, it's just downhill. Past the beautiful forest moors complex Tantegert and along the tracks of the forest railway line 6 you come to the shore of the roaring Sill. A short walk through the streets and alleys of Innsbruck and you have reached the destination in the picturesque old town. From Innsbruck you can reach the starting point of the tour to Hall easiest and fastest with the S-Bahn (line S2). Of course, thanks to the good connection, the route works just as well the other way round. Then you just go to Hall and return from there by train.
