In the middle of Innsbruck, a very special event has been ringing the running season for a few years: the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival. On different lengths, beginners can get a taste of the sport and experienced runners can take on a real challenge. Away from the roads and always surrounded by the impressive mountain panorama, this event offers a great mixture of the urban flair of the Tyrolean state capital and the rough mountain world. Of course it is a special experience to walk along the beautiful trails with thousands of participants. But even alone, the routes have their charm. This route describes the almost 18-kilometer "Rookie Trail", which leads you from the historic center of Hall over beautiful paths and paths along the Nordkette in the city center of Innsbruck. This run is also suitable for trail beginners, but with some altitude and the descent to Innsbruck, which requires a little surefooted, already a few challenges ready. It is all the better if you then arrive in the picturesque old town of Innsbruck and can fortify and reward yourself in one of the many restaurants or cafes. To get to the starting point of the race, the best way to get from Innsbruck is by S-Bahn: line S1 takes just 9 minutes. From the train station in Hall you are fast on the trail where your running adventure can begin.
