The Sihl rises in the Schwyz Prealps and winds from there down the valley until it opens in the middle of Zurich in the Limmat. On her way she has created picturesque valley landscapes. A particularly beautiful section of the river can be explored south of the hamlet of Seebrugg. So that the hike becomes a real pleasure, our route starts in the higher situated huts. From here it is always downriver along the Sihl.Starting point is the bus stop Hütten Schulhaus. From the nearby Wädenswill train station, the 160 bus will take you in about 15 minutes to the start of your hike. From the bus stop it is only a few meters to the picturesque Sihltal. On both sides of the river here is lined by tall trees and the water splashing between large stones - just picturesque. On a well-maintained hiking trail, it goes straight for you along the shore. After about half of the way, the restaurant Sihlmättli invites you to a hearty rest. Freshly caught trout are served here in an old, lovingly restored farmhouse. On the meandering river, you continue through the narrow valley until you reach the goal of the hike at Sihlbrugg. The bus 31 brings you from here to the station Baar, where you can change to the train to Zurich.
