Monasteries, churches and chapels, the Büttenfabrik Gmund am Tegernsee or the Bavaria Filmstudios in Munich - this approximately 320-kilometer tour is all about art and culture. But of course you should not miss the cool water on the Südwestschleife of the WasserRadlWege: you cycle through beautiful lake and river landscapes, stopping at Ammersee and Walchensee and enjoying the idyll of the Isar Valley near Bad Tölz. At various water experience points you can take informative breaks and learn a lot about, for example, the Lech stages in Landsberg, Germany's first hydropower plant in Schöngeising or the idyllic Murnau Moor. The WasserRadlWege can be divided into three sub-routes, which you can start each from Munich. In addition to the art and culture loop, there are two more adventures waiting for you: The "Salt Loop" takes you to the southeast of Munich, while you can learn all about hops and beer on the loop to the north.Every single loop provides enough material for wonderful stage trips. On the way a lot of highlights are waiting for you and the routes are well developed for tourists. Many accommodations, including plenty of bed + bike facilities, ensure a good night's sleep and if your plans change, the many stations along the tours are your focal point. Here you can find lots of information and tips to help you plan your WasserRadlWege tour:
