It leads you through the splinter hill country, where you can expect fascinating gorges and natural monuments. Wonderful views from the hills and plateaus complete the hiking experience around Spalt. The trail starts at the Kornhaus in Spalt. From here you hike north into a wide forest area where exciting gorges await you. Close to nature, you wander through the deep forest and enjoy the twittering of birds and the rustling of the leaves. After about half of the way you cross the Franconian Rezat. On the other side of the river, the two villages of Wernfels and Theilenberg await you, where you can stop off in comfort, admire the castle and the ramparts, and enjoy the magnificent view of Spalt. From here you walk through shady mixed forests and open plateaus, from which you can enjoy beautiful views, back to the starting point after gap.
