  • Chiemsee-Chiemgau

On the approximately 33-kilometer circuit through the northern Chiemgau you encounter refreshing water in all its diversity. Whether quiet ponds, refreshing bathing lakes, gently babbling brooks or a raging river, on the contemplative bike tour you will experience everything. It starts in the historic old town of Tittmoning. Through the Laufener Tor you cycle out of town and dive into a beautiful forest and meadow landscape. Past a haunted biotope you drive through colorful fields. On your right you will see a lush riparian forest, along the edge of which runs a small stream. Shortly thereafter, you cross the small waters and cycle through the forest to the shore of the dead straight Salzach. On smooth asphalt you follow her a bit, until you turn towards Fridolfing. In the place you can take a pleasurable break in one of the cafes or restaurants and strengthen you for the onward journey. With new strength you cycle over wide fields back to the starting point. On the way, you'll get great views over the beautiful Chiemgau and Lake Tachingen. Back in Tittmoning you can end the day with a visit to the castle or stroll through the historic streets of the old town. Also worthwhile: At the end of your tour, you can walk through the Ponlachgraben on foot to the pilgrimage church of Maria Brunn. Right next to the church you will find the Ponlach spring - if you have a bottle with you, you can fill here healing water.
