Castle, beer and bratwurst - this compact bike ride has everything it takes to experience a great time on a bike, and get to know the country and its people by the way. It starts in the historic old town of Kulmbach and leads you on cozy bike paths and low-traffic roads in the rural surroundings. You cycle through picturesque mountain, valley and floodplain landscapes with idyllic villages, where always offer opportunities for retreat with excellent food.On the way you can expect a few real highlights, which are worth a little detour, which we have built into this tour. For example, the Patersberg tower called "Look around" - this is the name of the program! The view is fantastic and justifies the additional increase on the Patersberg. Also the small detour to the outdoor pool of Mainleus is worthwhile. Here you can refresh yourself in the summer and if you are traveling with the whole family, especially the kids will enjoy the slides in the outdoor pool. For a very natural swimming stop we recommend a small dangling on the beach of the old "gravel washing" in the recreation area Mainaue.Back in Kulmbach you should definitely plan some time. There is so much to discover in the birthplace of Thomas Gottschalk. A nice overview of the city offers the Plassburg, from which you can enjoy a great view. In the castle there is a pewter exhibition, a museum and a restaurant. And if you are now on the taste, you will find here even more tours through the Franconian Forest: frankenwald-tourismus.de/de/draussen/radfahren/radtouren/radtouren-im-frankenwald.html
