Once around the Simetsberg near Wallgau - this moderately difficult mountain bike tour is one of the most varied tours in the Alpine World Karwendel and invites you to take a swim. So pack the bathing suit and go on the bike. The tour starts at the car park at Isarsteg and leads you first over the golf course Rundweg in the direction of the toll road. Here is also the famous Golfalm, which invites you to rest after the tour. Then follow the toll road for 7.2 kilometers until a forest road turns left. After this, after 10.5 kilometers, you will find a crossroads, where you keep going straight on to the left. Keeping to the left, the trail leads you slightly uphill for 13.2 kilometers. Here you reach the highest point of this section and then follow the forest road on the right hand downhill towards Walchensee. Arrived at Walchensee is located in Altlach directly to a swim or you drive to a left turn on the toll road on Walchensee and then uses the swimming in Einsiedel. After cooling off in the lake, the route continues over the Obernach Canal in the direction of Eschenlainetal and Simetsberg back to Wallgau. The vantage point, which opens halfway to Wallgau, offers you a breathtaking view of the upper Isar valley. At around 35 kilometers and under 1,000 meters in altitude, we classify the tour as "moderate", even if it is marked as "heavy" here.
