Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Planned by Schwarzwald Tourismus
On 83 kilometers, the long-distance hiking trail leads through the valley of the Alb along the lively river. From Albbruck on the Upper Rhine it goes to the roof of the southern Black Forest, the Feldberg and the Herzogenhorn, where the Alb springs. You can hike the route as a sporty variant in three or as a classic tour in five stages. Parking for the duration of the tour is available in Albbruck. The "official" direction is from the mouth to the source, of course, you can also run the tour in the opposite direction. The Albsteig runs on long stretches close to the shore of its namesake, but also winds up to the heights on both sides of the Alb and offers many opportunities to discover and experience the diverse landscape and its special features. In addition to the wild water experience, the long-distance hiking trail also guarantees wonderful insights into the varied Albtal landscape with the wildly romantic Albtal and the wild Alb gorge.
