The Schluchtensteig leads you on a varied, approximately 118 kilometer long route across the Southern Black Forest nature park. You will wander past thundering waterfalls and through dramatic valley landscapes. In six stages, you can go on this exciting long-distance trail, which requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. It starts in Stühlingen on the stage village Blumberg, Schattenmühle, Schluchsee Oberfischbach, St. Blasien and Todtmoos to Wehr, the destination of the Schluchtensteig. On this unique long-distance hiking trail, you will experience pure nature: water rushing, spray dusting through a wet, glistening gorge, pulling green, mossy rock walls long, glittering threads in the sun and jumping cheerfully from stage to stage down to the valley. You will get to know the Wutachschlucht gorge, the Lotenbach gorge, the Schleifenbach falls, the Haslach gorge, the Windberg waterfall, the Hohwehr gorge and the Wehratal gorge. Here you climb through unfathomable ravines, wander through fascinating valley landscapes and can marvel at impressive waterfalls. For a week, you'll be out of the ordinary and experience an adventure at its finest in the Black Forest.
