Planned by Schwarzwald Tourismus
On five stages, the ZweiTälerSteig takes you to the most beautiful and pristine corners of the Elz and Simonswäldertal. The circular route begins and ends at the railway station in Waldkirch, the milestones of the walk are the Kandel, Simonswald, Oberprechtal and Biederbach. The first three days of the ZweiTälerSteigs challenge you physically: over narrow paths you walk zigzagging past rocks, gorges and waterfalls. The last two days bring your soul to rest and reward you with changing views, easy paths and gentle climbs. The ZweiTälerSteig leads to elevation and viewing points, such as the Kandel, the pilgrim's chapel on the Hörnleberg, the prehistoric Rohrhardsberg or the long ridge of Höhenhäuser down to Waldkirch, where the changing long-distance views are addictive. To natural beauties, such as the sparkling Zweribach waterfalls, the wild romantic pond gorge or the mighty Huberfelsen. To lovely landscapes, such as the sunny meadow valleys with their gurgling streams in the rear Elztal or the mosaic of forest and meadows on the gently curved ridges of the western trail. And of course to the friendly people of the ZweiTälerLand, who have kept their open and heartfelt way to this day.
