The Mur cycle path is considered by connoisseurs as one of the most beautiful cycle paths in the Alps. In March 2012, he was awarded by the ADFC with 4 out of 5 possible stars. The intermediate cycle route starts in the Hohe Tauern National Park and accompanies the Mur to its mouth in the Drau in Croatia. In the north, you can expect slight climbs from time to time. From Graz, the Mur cycle path is easy and always leads downhill along the Mur. The Murradweg you can drive in eight stages with Muhr in Lungau, Murau, Judenburg, Leoben, Graz, Leibnitz and Bad Radkersburg as milestones. At the Sticklerhütte at 1,761 meters altitude, it starts. From there you cycle comfortably almost downhill and can enjoy the beautiful landscape to the fullest. In the north you drive through mountains with fragrant alpine meadows and azure lakes. Farther south you will find vast fields of corn, the typical oil gourds and vast meadows, and not far from the vineyards. As a cultural highlight provide fascinating cities such as Graz, the capital of enjoyment of Austria and European Capital of Culture 2003, or the wine and spa town of Bad Radkersburg for variety. From Bad Radkersburg you then cycle the last kilometers on the Murradweg through Slovenia to Croatia, where the Mur flows into the Drau at Legrad.
