Are you looking for a hike that combines historical places with beautiful nature? Then this section of the wine reading trail is the right tour for you: while you discover the Schiller town of Marbach and the picturesque Bottwartal, you will be inspired by literary stations and enchanted by the spectacular views. Almost twelve varied kilometers that you won't forget anytime soon. The historic old town of Marbach am Neckar with its pretty half-timbered houses and narrow streets is the starting point of your tour. Here you can take a little time to explore the charming town before you head out into nature.Accompanied by a very important part of this region - the wine - you first climb up to a viewing platform. From the vineyard on which it stands, it gives you a magnificent view of the Neckar, the Marbach lock and the town of Benningen. But that’s not enough with good prospects: Continue straight ahead, then sharply to the right, the path now leads you to the Galgen leisure area, where, in addition to the aforementioned view, there is also a playground, barbecue area, football field and benches. So there is nothing wrong with taking a break.Via Steinheim and Murr, a piece also along the river of the same name, you will soon reach a small forest and shortly afterwards you will find yourself again in the midst of colorful vineyards. So you climb down to the Neckar, cross it with the help of a bridge and find yourself a little later at your starting point.
