DonauTäler-Radweg planned a bike ride.

  • DonauTäler-Radweg

Rough rock formations, green hills, secluded forests and fish-rich waters - pure nature awaits you on this section of the DonauTäler cycle path that leads you from Wittislingen in the northeast to the Kesseltal valley to Bissingen. After you have left Wittislingen, you first roll on a flat section relaxed on quiet roads and beautiful bike paths, until you already see the monastery church Maria Medingen. A short stop and a look into the magnificent church worth it, because the church is beautifully decorated and freshly spruced up after a fire in 2015.Now the track is a bit hilly and more varied. Green meadows and shady forests alternate and again and again, there are beautiful opportunities for a break. Just enjoy the idyll and the beautiful view and sit on the green lawn next to the bike path. Or treat yourself to a refreshment in the Schlössle Finningen and admire the historic ambience of this very special snack station. Strengthened and rested you are then ready for the second half of this section on the Danube Valleys Cycle Path. The ride remains varied. Forests and meadows, up and down. Before you start the descent to Bissingen, a break bank invites you to linger again. The view into the Kessel valley is so beautiful from up here that it is worthwhile to accept the invitation. It's only downhill to the small market town - the bike path spits you right on the banks of the Kessel.
