This short section of the Danube Valley Cycle Route takes you through the eastern part of the "green throne valley", the landscape that is dominated by the Danube, which quietly and peacefully connects the magnificent Danube cities. In between, however, it offers space for the diverse flora and fauna that has their home here. The birds nest and roost in the beautiful arable areas, while you can cool off in one of the refreshing lakes or in a Kneipp facility. This short section begins in the Kessel valley. The Kessel is a tributary of the Danube, which flows at Donauwörth from the left in Europe's longest river. In Bissingen you say the kettle adé and climb the only increase of the section - from the top you have once again a really nice view into the Kesseltal. Now you can let it run casually if you roll over Schwenningen down to the Danube. Once at the bottom, you have a fantastic view of the river, which flows sublimely towards Donauwörth. Stay a little bit on the Danube bridge and enjoy the moment. For even more relaxation, a stop in the small nature Kneipp facility, which is located just a few meters from the banks of the Danube.
