Majestically, the Danube flows through this peaceful landscape that stretches from Neu-Ulm in the west to Schwenningen in the east. The DonauTäler cycle path crosses this "Green Thronsal" twice and this section leads you through its western part.Start of the tour is in Ulm, the medieval city, in the middle of which the impressive Ulmer Münster is located - its huge church tower you can still see, if you are cycled for many miles. Ulm is absolutely worth seeing and is ideal as a starting point of your bike ride - here you should definitely plan some time.If you've mastered the slightly longer ascent from Ulm, you've earned yourself a little breather. Get off the bike for a short while and enjoy the amazing views of the city and the steeple towering far beyond the other buildings. Rested, you can now enjoy the following section, where it is mostly downhill to the fullest. When you arrive down in Langenau, you have two options. On the right you turn off into the beautiful Nautal, which brings you right through an idyllic landscape to the banks of the Danube. If you want to drive the Danube Valleys Cycle Path on the short "Südrunde", this branch offers itself. If, on the other hand, you have planned the big round, you follow the DonauTäler cycle path from Langenau in the direction of Lindenau, where already a delicious snack and a refreshment in the "Schlössle" are waiting for you.
