The sixth stage takes you from Backnang through the narrow Murr valley to Murrhardt. The bike path always follows the course of the river and leads you in many places directly along its shore. On the Uferstraße, the Stromberg-Murrtal cycle path on the Murr leads you out of Backnang. Soon you will switch to a bike path that leads you off the cars through idyllic nature. You cross the town of Zell and shortly thereafter you reach the moated castle Oppenweiler. The castle is now used as a town hall and can not be visited, but only the magnificent castle garden is worth a break. The next worthwhile stop of this stage is Sulzbach an der Murr. In addition to the friendly market place, a very special goal awaits you here: In the castle brewery, exquisite beers have been brewed since 1690 - which you can of course taste locally. If you've got the taste, maybe even a few extra bottles will end up in your bike bag. From Sulzbach, the bike path finally leads you through fields and through small villages to the stage destination Murrhardt. From Murrhardt, the regional train R3 takes you to the starting point Backnang or even further to Stuttgart. From Stuttgart you can take the R5 to Karlsruhe, if you started your tour on the Stromberg-Murrtal-Radweg. Timetable information is available at vvs.de/vvs.
