The fourth stage of the Stromberg-Murrtal-Radweg takes you across vast, seemingly endless fields and meadows on the edge of the Enztal and finally through the Neckar valley to Marbach. The first half of this stage is the dream of every cyclist: On perfectly paved bike paths you will roll off the road across wide fields. The path goes gently downhill and spoils you with great views - just perfect. After about 13 kilometers you reach the city limits of Bietigheim. Here you cycle on quiet roads to the shore of the Enz and under the striking railway viaduct into the city center. For the old town with its pretty half-timbered houses and narrow streets, you can easily connect your bike and go on foot.Afterwards it comes out of the city and on forest roads to the neighboring village Großingersheim. The place is located directly on the Neckar, whose course you follow to the stage destination Marbach. Marbach also bears the name Schiller City, because here was born the great poet. If you are interested in its legacy, you should look at the exhibition in his birthplace and the museum on the Schillerhöhe.From Marbach, take the S-Bahn line S4 to Ludwigsburg, where you can change to the train to Vaihingen or Karlsruhe. Timetables are available at vvs.de/vvs and vpe.de/fahrplan/linienfahrplaene/bahnlinien.
