The starting point for the hike to the Teufelsmauer, the rock formation Hamburger Wappen, the ruin Luisenburg, the large and small Bernburg Castle, the castle garden and the St. Bartholomäus mountain church was the parking lot behind the small Bernburg Castle. Opposite the car park is the tourist information office, where you can stock up on the latest Harz hiking maps, including stamp books for the various tours to the Harz hiking pin. A special stamp is located directly in front of the tourist information. Along the Teufelsmauer to the Hamburg coat of arms, I also chose the Südweg, which is also suitable for smaller children, apart from climbing Grandfather's Rock. For the return tour I walked a bit on the north route past the Fuchsbau (it's worth going down) and then followed the ascent to the Kammweg. I would recommend this path to all fit hikers, a bit difficult to walk, but with great views. The castle garden is also recommended.
