Since I have to work again tonight, I left early this morning and was rewarded with a fantastic sunrise on Lake Walen. Great start to a strenuous but scenic tour. In Wesen started to Murg and then turned into the Murgtal. From the ticket house there were countless switchbacks up towards the Bachlaui parking lot, everything on asphalt and without any technical difficulties. From then on, the steep ramps and the technical part of the tour came into their own. Arrived at the top of the Murgsee (I was the first) wonderfully quiet and a super beautiful panorama. The DH down the same route has some difficult sections that I didn't dare to ride. In the lower part, already back on asphalt, I took the junction with a counter slope so that I didn't have to follow the road, which was absolutely worth it. The way back then leads me back to my childhood memories at the (Lost Place) Walensee rest area. Great tour and the landscape of the hammer.

Nice round ... is also on my list ... Maybe even further from the Murgsee over to the Glarnerland ... I have to contact the Gleiti ...

Yep, that was actually my plan, only my battery only lasts as far as the Murgsee and there is no charging station (solar) there. The steep ramps cost too much battery, unfortunately. What I saw, however, is the ascent to the pass and Komoot indicates that it is S2, which I seriously doubt, I think rather S2 / S3.

Great tour Hampi. I did it last year from Walenstadt to Murgsee and back again. Direction Glarnerland I would also say S2 rather S3. I also know this area from hiking. Regula
