It will be truly magical in the two beautiful half-timbered towns of this cruise. You start at the Kasseler Bahnhof in the direction of the north, where after a few kilometers it becomes more and more rural and quiet. Surrounded by fields and meadows, you can enjoy quiet country roads, which lead time and again through cozy villages. One of them is called Hofgeismar, also called Dornröschenstadt. The town with its countless historic half-timbered houses marks the beginning of your journey through the fairytale world of the Brothers Grimm. They lived in Kassel for a long time and looked for inspiration here in the quiet suburbs and, above all, in the nearby Reinhardswald for their world-famous fairy tales. After making a tour of the beautiful old town of Hofgeismar, head out into the large, dark forest. If you pass the Sababurg, you can easily imagine that the two brothers might have come up with their idea of the Sleeping Beauty story right here. And as you continue through the Reinhardswald, you'll almost wait for some characters like Rapunzel, Hänsel and Gretel or Rumpelstiltskin to come across you. This forest is a beautiful, quiet place that is perfect for racing. The end of the forest is heralded by a long descent that brings you down to the shore of the Fulda. From here it is not far to the nearest specialist workshop, Kaufungen. The small town is located at the gates of Kassel and from here it is only a stone's throw to the starting point of the tour.If you like the lap of 101 kilometers, you can easily abbreviate it in many places. So you can easily build a shorter version, which is good for example as a fast Feierabendrunde.
