After things are going so well. Another tour yesterday. However, this time a pretty flat one. My ribs are doing better at the moment, the incline yesterday wasn't great.I chose the Schachblumenweg in Hagensdorf, 9 fairly flat kilometers. However, outside of the usual season for this route. Normally, to see the flowers bloom, you go the way at Easter. Now it has become a "dark version" :)First of all - I went the way contrary to the suggested route.First of all, let's go out of Hagensdorf. The way is well signposted here. But not at all crossing points! I.e. taking your mobile phone with you with route guidance is not a disadvantage.Over the Strem over it, past the sewage treatment plant, then turn left. This would normally be the first meadow of chess flowers (blooming at Easter). Now along the gravel road. Pretty straight with a few twists and turns. Until the next Strem bridge. Stay on top of this and on the way. Always along the path along the edge of the forest, a hiking march over really wide, flat land, down here. The Pannonian plain begins here (info for geography enthusiasts). The tour is also very suitable for a leisurely bike tour. Now we reach the town of Luising - the youngest municipality in Burgenland. If you like, you can read interesting facts about Luising here: best-of-burgenland.com/luising.htmWe walk through this place, following the route guidance. We walk past the church and will soon be out of the small town again. At the end of the village past the crucifixion group, we go back across the country. After a while we reach the next meadow of chess flowers at the bridge of the Pinka relief canal. There is also a nice seating area to rest here. After the bridge, turn left, along the canal.Passing high seats, we then reach the next bridge. Again we go over the relief canal and brush against Luising as we walk past. Here we keep to the right at the fork in the road and, as it looks, hike from now on in Mensdorff-Pouilly territory. and there it appears - the estate of the said count.Really impressive. We walk past this architectural demonstration of power. Continue on the paved path to the intersection where we keep left. There is also a surreal cemetery here, which finally gives this tour the dark touch.I had forgotten about the time during the tour and the sun had already set. And now, in the rapidly advancing dusk, I was in the middle of nowhere. At the cemetery. In contrast to other cemeteries, this one is very well-kept and modern. Asphalted paths, gravestones that look sparklingly clean. And a tomb. The whole cemetery I built on an artificial hill. Underneath is obviously the said crypt. And yet there are graves on the hill ?! Surreal. The whole thing is given the final, unreal touch by the monument and the "bell tower" on the hill. I had to look twice. The first time this construct reminded me of a gallows ...But one thing is certain. It was now getting darker and darker, only little to be seen and I was sitting in a cemetery in the middle of nowhere. Priceless! If a few smaller (or bigger?) Bats had fluttered past, it would have been perfect. But unfortunately it wasn't like that.Be as it is. Brilliant. Then the path continues straight ahead to the starting point back to Hagensdorf. It was pitch dark here. But as I said, awesome. I should do night hikes more often. Or at least at dusk. I like it :)Well then - there are two options to choose from: The chess flower path at Easter with blooming flowers. Or the dark version in the twilight - with a blooming imagination :)Addendum: When reading my article I noticed that I had recently used the word "genial" a lot. But that's the way it was. As? Awesome! ;)
