Coriander went for a hike.

Today we went to the slopes of the Elbe again. From Pillnitz, always lively up and down, it went to Schillerplatz. My personal highlight today was definitely the fire salamander, unfortunately you don't see them that often anymore. The mini duck at the castle pond also had something for itself, it was quite trusting, came up to arm's length and when I wanted to go again after almost 10 minutes, it came after me a little, flapping its wings. No wonder, it was the only duckling in the pond and the artificial frog in the middle is probably not a very talkative fellow.
In the meantime, there was the agony of choice .. get wet from the rain or be steamed in the rain jacket .. well after a partial meal I decided to go into the rain 🤣.
    A successful round

I was also lucky enough to meet such a salamander the other day. However, before my cell phone was armed, it was almost gone. Nice round.

Nice round right around the corner from me. I'd love to see a salamander like that too.

@Frank Winkler, thank you and yes, he was quite quick at the beginning, but then stopped nicely.
@Chaika, yes they are quite shy, was also only my 3rd salamander. Today's man was crouching on one of the steps by this wicked staircase (mountain bike highlight)

Oh, on the stairs in the Wachwitzgrund? With the bike I always have to concentrate very much 😉. You can see more while hiking.

@Chaika, exactly, on the stairs in the Wachwitzgrund. And yes, that's right, the perspective is definitely different when hiking, and you are slower too, you see more, especially when you stare at the ground, because you get the misery "that it always goes up" 🤣 no longer like to see. Fire salamanders like it wet, a rainy day like today increases the chance of seeing you.
