At the end of our vacation we drove to Mori today to climb the Via ferrata Monte Albano. The via ferrata is wonderfully located in the almost vertical wall above the small town and offers a wonderful view. do. Therefore, some other via ferrata enthusiasts joined us in the morning - but the initial hustle and bustle dissolved relatively quickly due to the length. A little anecdote - before it was renovated (and thus considerably reduced), this via ferrata was once climbed by Reinhold Messner personally, who actually praised the via ferrata, but complained after the renovation that the via ferrata had lost its alpine character. We have to state that the via ferrata would not have been feasible for us without the numerous iron brackets that were inserted into the rock during the renovation, but that as it is now, it simply invites you to enjoy it. A nice end to two weeks of hiking, climbing and via ferrata :)

I did the via ferrata 25 years ago. In the middle there was a grating about 1 meter in size to rest. Yes, it was very crisp back then. Great pictures made great.

Thank you for your great reaction again. Nature and weather are mainly responsible for the great pictures :) the memory of the view made the (well-survived) drive home bearable;)@Juergen I don't even like to imagine how impressive that was back then. A few of the old insurances are still in place, but the rock has now been slimmed down to such an extent that it is reminiscent of polished marble in places. Without additional step aids, that would largely be E or D / E 🙈 today
