A week out, that was the motto! After some "back and forth" in vacation planning, due to a short-term cancellation of a foreign assignment, we were organized a hiking week in South Tyrol and the Swabian Alb on the return trip.We started with an "easy" tour, although we quickly noticed that easy tours can quickly reach 1,000 meters. We walked from St. Magdalena, where we stayed, across the valley head to the three managed alpine pastures: Messner Alm, Kradorfer Alm and Oberbergalm. All three have their charm, but we only stopped in the second with lemonade and the last with Kaiserschmarrn, Schorle and Radler. Then we climbed the "Gsieser Törl" border pass at 2,205m above sea level. There were very curious cows there, eyeing us as we stamped the hiking booklet. After a short photo break, we continued to climb on a hillside path and hiked to the Weißbachalm, which, however, is not cultivated. The long descent over gravel roads was then less pleasant. All in all, we did a great start tour!
