On the 22nd stage on the Moselsteig, the end of your long hike slowly approaches. But you will be rewarded here again with special views of the impressive landscape of the Mosel valley. At the beginning of the tour, you cross the Mosel in Löf and walk up the other bank to the ruins of Thurant Castle. If your heart beats for old walls, you should definitely visit the well-preserved castle and pay a visit to the castle café. The path leads you up to a plateau. From up here you have a great view of the ruins and the Mosel valley. From here, the Moselsteig winds its way across plateaus and wooded valleys on the edge of the Mosel valley. Smaller ascents and descents alternate and in several places you can enjoy beautiful views of the deeply cut Mosel valley. From the observation tower at the Mönch-Felix-Hütte, the last vantage point of today's stage, you hike downhill and over the Moselle to the stage destination Kobern-Gondorf.Also Kobern-Gondorf is approached by the Moselle Valley Railway, which can easily bring you back to the starting point of the hike. All information about the Moselle Valley Railway can be found at moseltalbahn.de.
