Your 21st stage on the Moselsteig begins in Moselkern directly on the banks of the Moselle. From here, the trail meanders in bends and serpentines on the wooded hillside above the riverbank. Both sides of the Mosel valley are quite steep and densely forested here, so there is hardly any wine-growing areas here for a change.Above the slope you will find a spacious and almost flat plateau with wide fields and meadows. The trail runs along the edge of the forest and so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the vast landscape. After crossing the village of Lasserg, the Moselsteig leads you down the hillside forest to Hatzenport, where you can take a break in one of the restaurants or cafes.Above Hatzenport is a small vineyard, which you cross on your next hike. The path leads steeply up a few steps and spoils you with great views of the Mosel valley. Especially at the viewpoint Rabenlay you have a magnificent view of the river and the surrounding countryside.Through a large wooded area, we continue to the stage goal Löf.From Löf train station the Moselle Valley Railway will take you to Koblenz train station or back to Moselkern, the starting point of the hike. The timetable of the Moseltalbahn can be found at moseltalbahn.de.
