Traben-Trarbach, starting point of the 13th stage, is a traditional wine village. Here you cross the Moselle to ascend on the right bank of the river to the mountain trail above the river. On a steep serpentine path, it goes up to the ruins of Grevenburg, where a great view of Traben-Trarbach and the Mosel valley awaits you.From here, the Moselsteig leads you in some hairpin bends and over forest trails up to the Bismarck Hut, the highest point of the 13th stage. Here you can catch a breathtaking view on a bench or a wooden deck chair before you continue your hike.On forest paths, it continues afterwards. You wander on the outskirts of the village Starkenburg and are spoiled in various places with beautiful views of the Mosel valley.After about seven kilometers, the Moselsteig leads you downhill to the small town of Enkirch, which is perfect for a break with its numerous rest stops. Then you walk through picturesque vineyards in the direction of Reil. There you cross the Moselle and then reach your destination on the left bank of the river.The Moselbahn RB85 connects Traben-Trarbach and Reil and continues to the Bullay train station. From there you can continue with the Moselle Valley Railway to Koblenz.Timetable information is available at moselwein-bahn.de.
