This pretty loop starts at the Couvent à École car park and takes you to the top of Pécloz, the third highest peak in Les Bauges. You follow the paved road along the Chéran to start. This allows you to warm up quietly. After the Nant-Fourchu car park, you fork to the right and start your ascent in the forest. You emerge from the woods just before reaching Pointe de la Fougère, where a spectacular view of the main Bauges peaks, Mont Charvin and Mont Blanc awaits you. After a nice and undemanding passage, you arrive on the line of ridges and evolve on a nice singletrack. On either side of the trail there are some fairly steep ravines, so it is advisable to be careful on this section. You continue your ascent and gradually arrive at Mont d´Armenaz, at 2,158 meters above sea level. A small cross marks the top. What a view ! Keep an eye out, it is not uncommon to see chamois in this area. You continue on the ridge to the top of Pécloz. It's pretty exposed and rocky, so don't hesitate to take your time and use your hands if necessary. From there, you begin your descent and take a fairly rolling path through the woods that brings you back to the starting point. The circle is complete !It is possible to go to Pécloz in the same way as I suggest you go to Mont d´Armenaz. The itinerary is as follows: komoot.fr/tour/474329434
