  • The second leg of the crossing of the Alps from Tegernsee to Sterzing takes you over the green mountains of the Mangfallgebirge. High up on the ridge, you also cross the border to Austria. After a break on the Blaubergalm you follow the path down to the valley to Achenwald.

  • Exhausting but manageable tour. With us it rained almost as far as the Blaubergalm, but it didn't bother us.

  • The introduction above says “alpine experience necessary”. This contradicts all descriptions of the tour by Komoot and the users. I am insecure. I am in a good condition but no alpine experience. That's why I want to do this tour and NOT the E5.

Overall, the tour is uncomplicated, only the ascent to the Schildenstein (detour from the main route) is more complicated.

Absolutely ugly, dusty and boring. Most of the time you don't see anything because you walk between the trees. An alternative

  • I went on the tour with two friends today.

Unfortunately there are not very difficult at komoot, because the difficult ones in the low mountain range are simply against it. You walk approx. 800 meters in altitude for 2 hours only uphill. Sometimes there are places where you need strength, very good shoes

  • So "alpine experience" is exaggerated, good physical condition and good shoes are important! Heike Berlin: run!
