This tour starts unusually on a pass, the Col du Soubeyrand, the descent of which I enjoyed very much. Then it went - with mostly headwind (but I don't want to complain, the days before I always had a strong tailwind at the end) to the Col de Peryguere. On the way up to the Col de Mévouillon, I didn’t meet the unloved "Ruth", who had already thwarted our tour planning twice during this holiday: "Route Barrée". No, the construction workers assured that the road could be used again immediately after the tar application. Two cyclists coming towards me were cleaning their sticky tires. I decided to run and my shoes were sticking nicely! We continued to collect altitude meters over the Col de Mévouillon and the Col de Macuègne. There I met a young Dutchman with whom I cycled over the Col de l'Homme Mort (translated: dead man) to Montbrun and had a nice chat. So I also found out that on Friday 500 Dutch people want to climb Mont Ventoux for a good cause (fight against cancer).
In Montbrun I met my (living) husband with a mobile home and after an extensive lunch we drove together to the Col d'Aulan, which is also a "Schorsch" - disappointingly with hardly any water. But it was more exciting to watch the giant griffon vultures in flight, which are quite small in the photos, but have a wingspan of 2.30-2.80m😳.

Great tour. Great photos - also from the brilliant driver! I was there in April for the start of the season. So lovely there! Your photos bring back my memories. Have a good trip!
