Ponds, lakes and the wonderful Wurzacher Ried nature reserve want to be discovered by you on this tour from Aulendorf. It is best to take your binoculars with you, because in the oases of nature you have the opportunity to observe numerous birds. The starting point is in Aulendorf at the train station. There is a bike rental just a stone's throw away from here in case you haven't brought your own bike. After you have left Aulendorf in the south, you cycle along the Steinach to Bad Waldsee. It is worth taking a first extensive rest here, where you can strengthen yourself for the onward journey.Afterwards there are two crisp climbs waiting for you. The first leads you through refreshing forest, the second to a hill from which you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the extensive landscape around you. There follows a short descent, then it continues on largely flat paths. They lead you through an agricultural region to the Rohrsee. You can watch birds wonderfully from the shore. From here you cycle on to Bad Wurzach. In the pretty old town, cozy cafes and restaurants invite you to take a break. With new strength you will then drive through the Wurzacher Ried, the largest intact high moor in Central Europe. Numerous species of birds feel at home here too, and with a little luck you can observe them. You now make your way back through wide meadows and fields. It leads you past the Schwaigfurter Weiher, where a short stop is also worthwhile. Then it goes directly back to Aulendorf.
