In the extreme north of the Saarland, directly on the border to Rhineland-Palatinate, is the mountainous landscape around the Wadrilltal. On the table tour you can visit the wide forests and idyllic meadows, as well as make a detour to the castle ruins Grimburg. From the starting point of the hike in Sitzerath the table tour leads you first over cattle pastures and wet meadows up in the direction of Felsenberg. From the wooded summit, it goes evenly downhill to Wadrilltal.Already on the descent you can see the striking tower of the Grimburg high above the valley. If you are interested in old castles, then the detour to the ruin is mandatory. Especially nice: From April to September, a small café at the castle is open at the weekend. From the Grimburg you follow the table tour through the densely wooded Wadrilltal. In the constant ups and downs you wander through the valley until the path ascends to the east on the valley slopes. In some hairpin bends up to the small Nazareth chapel, which is located on the edge of the village Wadrill. From here you hike the table tour at the edge of the forest and across wide meadows back to Sitzerath.Arrived at the starting point of the hike, you can then indulge yourself with a stop at the tafelourrestaurant Landgasthof Paulus.
