With 20 kilometers and 510 meters of altitude you have a strenuous, but also super beautiful stage ahead of you. The best thing to do is to start the day with a good breakfast in one of the Ziegenrücker cafés before you start. Also keep in mind that there are only a few places to stop for refreshments directly on the way on this stage. In return, you will find all the more idyllic and dreamy resting and picnic areas where you can enjoy your picnic. You walk along the picturesque banks of the Saale, pass some idyllic places and finally after a short but crisp ascent you reach the viewpoint Hohe Leite. Here you will find one of the most beautiful panoramas in the region and with a little luck you can even watch hang-gliders taking off.Past Drognitz, it then goes back down to the bank of the Saale and through the Hopfenmühle campsite. From here you can already see the Hermannsfelsen. It is a bit off the hiking trail, but a short detour is definitely recommended, because here, too, the view is great. Up to the height of the Schleifenberg you now have another short, steep ascent in front of you. You now hike through open fields and meadows over the Galgenberg to Neidenberga.
