The seventh stage of the long-distance hiking trail is long with a good 27 kilometers, but you hardly have to master any vertical meters and you can hike along the coast in a very relaxed manner. Your companion today: the miles of fine sandy beaches. Sounds good right? Well then, backpack on, shoes on and off we go towards Catlegregory. At the beginning of the tour you hike over two small hills before you reach the first beach at Fermoyle. And it makes a real impression: The sandy coastline stretches for over 14 kilometers along Brandon Bay. There is a lot to discover on your way to Scraggane Point: keep your eyes open for mussels, flotsam and birds. You can watch the surfers on the water and occasionally see riders galloping across the beach. With its sand dunes and the surrounding mountains, the beach offers you a wonderful backdrop for your hike. You leave the beach and soon reach the next bay near Kilshanning. Constantly along the coastline, the path then leads you to your stage destination Castlegregory. After you have been blown out by the sea air, you can make yourself really comfortable in the cozy little place in your accommodation.
