The sixth stage on the Dingle Way is arguably the most challenging. On your way over the shoulder of the Brandon Moutain you will cover a few meters, of course you will be rewarded with wonderful views over the beautiful coastal landscape. And after several days on the long-distance hiking trail, you're already in the best of training. You leave Feohanagh, cross the river of the same name and at the beginning hike a bit inland on a flat path. The imposing mountain with its secondary peaks rises up in front of you. And the ascent begins. The path is particularly steep at the beginning, but you are in no hurry. Take your time and reward yourself with the fantastic view when you take a break. Do you want to go higher? Then of course you can climb to the top of Mount Brandon, which is 952 meters high. But plan an extra three hours for this. At the end of the hike, you can stroll along the spacious Brandon Beach to Cloghane. Before you reach the town center, the path leads you along the old cemetery and the remains of the church from the 13th century. In Cloghane you will find a small selection of accommodations and can end the day with a view over the bay.
