Oberteuringer Osten, Rotach - Feuchtwiesen
Ewu went for a hike.

This time I was attracted by the striking church tower of Oberteuringen, the stretch along the Rotach and the wet meadows near Wammeratswatt (a wonderful name). The starting point is the town hall square at the church with easy parking and from here on the shortest route to Rotach. On the "Bächlesweg" I walk past some sculptures, over the brook and then continue on a gravel path to the B33.Unfortunately, this means that car traffic is my companion for some time. On foot I see a couple of neat little houses and gardens across the street, and I look forward to the luxurious sports car in a dealership. The asphalt ends in the direction of the forest. An off-grid section continues easily accessible. At the other end of the forest, briefly across the meadow ... and off you go again on asphalt (unfortunately the information about asphalt in the komoot planning was far too low, in reality it was significantly more than half of the route). After Wammeratswatt, the little road runs through lush wet meadows. Originally created as a pond by monks, then silted up, today overgrown with reeds and tall grass. The water is just up to the street. Finally, in the south of Oberteuringen, I come through a settlement area, through a green belt with a playground, down to the center of the village. There is a conclusion in the cafe at the town hall and a tour of the church. My impression ?Without denying the charms of the sculptures and the wet meadows, the effort is not really worth it for me this time.
Good tour description 👏 - thanks for sharing.
