24.08.2018 Soltau - BispingenSoltau is a pretty pretty and quite big city. In the edge zone where my pension was located, the individual living areas were separated by green areas, just wide enough for a footpath, a few bushes and - a lot of imaginative play equipment for children: Unusually built swings and seesaws, a pipe telephone (two speaking funnels in one Distance of about 20 m, the connecting pipe laid underground), an artistically designed carousel. I should have taken pictures, but somehow did not think about it.In the city center, a narrow but equally imaginative designed park runs along the Soltau and the Böhm. The water of the two streams was incorporated as an example. You notice: I could fall in love with the city.
Incidentally, I was in the evening in a brewhouse for dinner, had very tasty beer and Knipp, a seared sausage (do not ask me, what a - she was just delicious), with fried potatoes and salad.Of course, the way out of the city initially ran through the park and across a street. Then it was already over a small path into the heath forest. After a few kilometers that changed unfortunately: in front of me again the kilometer-long forest roads (with and without asphalt) were dead straight. I reached for the audiobook again.
The route to Bispingen was not very long. It had rained a bit on the way, but the weather was more pleasant than it had been the day before. At 2 pm I arrived at an adventure playground 2 km from Bispingen. Benches were on the track until then in short supply, so I sat down and ate one of the two apples from the garden of my Soltauer pension hostess, she had kindly given me. Just then a young family arrived at the playground with two small children. The two children immediately jumped on the playground equipment. They climbed onto a fort (see photo), the boy kept on practicing, but the smaller sister was lost on the tower and did not know how to get down. Luckily, Daddy was right there to rescue her.
I set off again. According Komoot it should be a good 2 km. But after 1 km I came to a thoroughfare - and found the sign "The Youth Hostel" right in front of me. I was actually there. It was too early to check in, but I was able to stop my backpack and then went into the place, because I was looking for something specific: Right - there was an ice cream parlor. The food was secured for this afternoon.Tomorrow we go to Undeloh. According to Komoot, the track is pretty short again. Well - after the many long distances you can really use that. 😁
