A sharp start is today at 8.14 a.m. from Senftenberg train station to Lübben train station. It is a stone's throw to the port in Lübben. It should be a cozy “vacation day”. With coffee and salmon rolls we get in the mood for a nice day in the Spreewald. Then off we go in the direction of Alt Zauche, past the ferry port in the direction of the castle. We arrive in the castle on winding paths and across fields and meadows. As always, the castle is pretty full. The feeling is reinforced by the construction site at the harbor. We slip into the role of a passing day tourist and disappear on a short way in the direction of Vetschau. A huge schnitzel is already waiting for us in the farm shop at Farmer Ricken's. The extensive lunch break in the very nice ambience is good for you. Roll in slowly to the next stop. The Eiscafe Ksisowka in Wüstenhain is worth a visit because of the often special offers.
When my better half calls two scoops of goat milk ice cream through the gap, I immediately have some strange thoughts buzzing through the control center. But, my worries were completely unjustified, so far I have not seen any changes in this regard. The ice cream was as usual, very tasty.
Past the Gräbendorfer See, it now goes to Altdöbern. Even at the risk of it becoming a pleasure tour, we treat ourselves to a cup of coffee in the Cafè Schauwerk on the market.
The last section goes again over the Reppister Höhe with a subsequent shot drive to Italy in the Bahnhofstrasse in Senftenberg to our obligatory conclusion.

"I immediately have some strange thoughts buzzing through the control center" - that's how I imagine Kurzweil.
    Very nice tour ... 👍

Your pictures from the beautiful Spreewald convey great impressions and, as always, beautifully described! I like your tour reports and always enjoy reading them. 👍
Great idea, by the way, Lübben / Senftenberg!
Our caravan is there and should we ever have a lot of time, then .. maybe that is an idea and we will follow your footsteps!

Yes, wonderful. Is it possible to come back to the Spreewald to some extent? The railway is currently very busy when it comes to line closures.

We haven't really had much experience with the railways yet. However, the last trips were continuous and on time.
