With a length of 49.7 kilometers for 140 meters of elevation gain, this Tour should be completed without problem in one day ... unless you spend too much time visiting the Château d'Ussé which is located on a small hill, the only climb of the whole route.Departing from Villandry, we leave the Cher to join the Loire, into which the Cher flows at the place called “Le Bout du Monde”. The place is aptly named because it is a rather wild Loire, punctuated by small islets of sand, which you walk along for a few kilometers. After having seen Langeais on the opposite bank, you arrive in Bréhémont, whose church is located right by the cycle path. Continuing a few kilometers, you leave the Loire to follow the Indre to the Château d'Ussé. I really like this castle because its architecture is original: inspired by medieval and renaissance styles, Ussé is unlike any other castle.Back on the cycle path, you walk along the Loire before reaching the Vienne. The confluence of these two rivers is also very pretty, especially since you will not need to leave the track to admire this landscape.Along the Loire, even if the area is rather rural, several campsites, guest rooms and a hotel are ready to welcome you.
