At the beginning of our tour in Königsberg in Bavaria, we go to the Schlossberg up to the Königsberg Castle. The restored ruins of the former high medieval imperial castle offer wonderful photo opportunities and great views. Then we wander through the town. The old town, which is under monument protection, offers a romantic and almost uniform half-timbered picture from the 17th and 18th centuries. Finally we go to the Stüble, enjoy meat loaf, beer and the nice conversations with the landlady and the few other guests.
Actually, today's destination was called Hochheim in Lower Franconia ... The RV parking lot there is easy to find and is right next to the pretty outdoor pool. We found a nice parking space, but quickly realized that the road next to the square was very busy. After the rest of the last parking spaces, we don't feel like it at all. We wait for a thunderstorm with heavy rain and drive to the nearby Königsberg in Bavaria. The local parking space is wonderfully quiet with a view of the Staufer Burg (Königsberg Castle). We explore the pretty town in the evening sunshine and end the evening in the Stüble after a short exploration tour. The landlady lived in NRW for a long time, her husband comes from Gelsenkirchen ... The topics were varied, we laughed a lot and the nice Lower Franconians shared some anecdotes from the area.
