Hans-Peter & Heidrun went for a bike ride.

    The Spreewald,
historical cultural landscape in the southeast of Brandenburg, floodplain and moorland, biosphere reserve or popular travel destination. No matter how you call the Spreewald or how you feel about yourself, it is and will hopefully remain a special and unique idyll that is worth visiting at any time of the year. It does not matter whether you are on foot, by boat or how we are by bike. Our journey begins today at around 8 a.m. at the train station in Senftenberg. The RB 24 delivers us punctually and without any special incidents after exactly 39 minutes in Lübbenau. First it goes to the main port. The early bird ... .. has the harbor almost to himself.
Along the Leiper Weggraben it goes to Leipe, past Burg Kolonie to the Radusch natural harbor. Two bridges are laboriously crossed. The 10 o'clock coffee is slowly coming up. We can choose between the Göritz farmer's kitchen and farmer Ricken’s farm shop. The farmer's kitchen is our favorite. Fresh sheet cake every day that calls out from afar: “I'm the tastiest in the whole country”. The only thing we can do there is to eat a piece of the still warm cake and agree with it. However, we will not miss the very beautiful location of the farmer Ricken. After a short photo stop, we continue to the Holy Spring in Lobendorf. It's a little strange. A spring is inevitably associated with water. Only there is none in it. I once set myself up as a precaution, but that didn't have any effect either. My halo hasn't gotten any bigger. So be it, on a few small detours (navigation breakdown) we continue via Repten, Bolschwitz with the dilapidated Gut Erlenau, Gahlen, Ogrosen, Muckwar, Neu Döbern to Altdöbern. A stop at the drinking point due to the heat is required here.
The next stop is then at Reppister Höhe. The visibility is very good today. Now it goes. The shot drive to Sanremo. Well, not exactly, but the goal also has a bit to do with Italy. After the delicious sundae, we classify today's tour as particularly beautiful.
We cycle home full and satisfied.

I could also rave about the Spreewald again and again. It's just beautiful here.

Everything done right, nice tour, the best cake on the way, you can linger at Ricken and the traditional ice cream at the end is a must. It's just around the corner from Ricken, about 5 km from Ricken, the next time you take the detour via Eichow, the Italian restaurant on the street is recommended there, always open except on Mondays.

It's nice to hear that there are still a lot of Spreewald fans out there. Now that we have discovered the train for ourselves, we are already looking forward to many new tours in and around our wonderful Spreewald.
Thanks for the tip with the Italian in Eichow.
