The almost 22 kilometer long Kaiserstuhlpfad leads you from north to south over the small low mountain range in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg. Discover the varied landscape of the warmest region in Germany on your hike. Around 35 species of orchids grow in the almost Mediterranean climate and numerous birds feel at home here. So perfect conditions for a varied tour.It starts at the train station in Endingen. You walk through the old town, past the Erleweiher and through an impressive avenue of chestnut trees. Then the first and longest ascent of the day begins. Through the shady forest it goes bit by bit up to the Katharinenberg. You will be rewarded for this with a wonderful view over the Rhine valley to the Vosges. It continues with great views: from the 40 meter high Eichelspitzturm, the panorama is even more impressive. Let your gaze wander and take a break - you deserve it. In a nice up and down you hike further south. The next highlights on your tour: the Neunlindenturm and the Totenkopf, with its 557 meters the highest point on the Kaiserstuhl. It then goes through the vineyards down to Ihringen, the destination of your hike. At the end of the tour you can look for a cozy stop and enjoy a taste of Baden wine. With the S1 you come back to the starting point of the hike.
