This seven-kilometer hiking trail offers you a great mix of nature and city. You can be sure of variety on the circuit in and around Ettlingen. And of course there is also a wonderful view - as it should be for a hike in the Black Forest. The route starts at the Ettlinger Albgaubad. At the beginning you walk along the outskirts and through the Horbachpark into the city center. Around the market square there are numerous historical buildings to discover, small shops to browse and in the restaurants and cafés you can treat yourself to a first coffee and cake break. Then the path leads you along the banks of the Alb before you turn into the picturesque Winzerallee - and then you soon find yourself standing in the forest. Under the green treetops you hike up to the Bismarck Tower. And those who go uphill will also be rewarded with a wonderful view. Treat yourself to a break at the stone tower and enjoy the panorama over Ettlingen and up to the Rhine plain. However, the tower is not always open. In order not to stand in front of a locked door, you can ask for the key at the Ettlinger Museum in advance. The zigzag course then goes downhill again. You cross the Alb and will soon be back at the Albgaubad. How about a detour to the city center at the end of the hike?
