The destination, the Blue Lake, was clear, but how to get there and back? I didn't remember the road from Oppin to Zörbig very well.
The roads across the villages were not very busy, that was fitting. A bit of terrain was also there, well. Ideal gravel roads that could be driven quickly were rare, mostly it was rougher, there were huge puddles and mud every now and then and the single trails were well overgrown. Probably you have to live with road driving when you are there. I made a virtue out of necessity and looked into the beautiful (albeit sometimes a bit monotonous) summer landscape, looked at Bitterfeld and the villages. Bitterfeld was incredibly empty (better: dead), but has many old and beautiful industrial buildings. You can also see a lot of interesting and bizarre things in the villages. Shortly before Halle I was still in the cherries, but the best were already gone.

I like it, Marc. We actually traveled the same sections today. Your description fits it very well.

Yes, the area between Bitterfeld and Halle knows how to hide its beauty, was there on the weekend and haven't found it yet 🤷🏻‍♂️.

@Matthes: had to think of you when looking for the way, because you have to come to terms with longer pieces of asphalt.
The paths on the Köckerner See offered variety, even if some of them were very herbaceous. As a hay fever, I am also a bit overly sensitive.
