This varied hike takes you to the Aiguilles de Chabrières, which are located in alpine terrain at an altitude of over 2,300 meters. On this hike you will overcome about 780 meters in altitude and will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Gapençais and the Réallon Valley. The starting point is the station de Ski de Réallon. You first walk on the forest path towards Joubelle and then turn right. It goes steadily uphill until you leave the forest after two and a half kilometers and then hike in the open landscape on the ridge to the mountain station of the Chabrières chairlift. We continue, always with great views of the Gapenca basin, to the Breche de Chabrières. The short, stony detour to the summit begins here. You need a little surefootedness and a head for heights for the way - and of course your camera, because the view from up here is stunning. In a large arc you now walk around the karst landscape of the Ukane down to the Rougnus plateau. If you are out and about in the spring, you will notice the blue and purple carpets made of cow bells, which give the atmosphere of the mountain meadows a special charm. You may also see some of the native chamois with their black horns when they forage in small herds in the Ecrins massif.Soon you will reach the ski slopes and finally the starting point in the ski resort Réallon.
