This short mountain bike tour takes you through the valley of Molines-en-Queyras and offers you wonderful views of the valleys of the Aigue Blanche and the Guil. With the exception of a small and somewhat steep section through the forest, you will roll along simple paths in the open landscape. The tour starts at the parking lot of the Chanterane Bridge and leads you first through the small town of Pierre-Grosse and then always along the mountainside of Gaudissaro. As everywhere, the supply of water is essential for survival. The Canal de Pierre, through which the distribution was organized, was mentioned as early as the 14th century. Supervised by a priest, the maintenance of the irrigation towers and the allocation of water were taken care of. The payment for the valuable liquid was usually made in the form of grains of rye or money. You will soon reach a small piece of forest, at the end of which a great view of the Guil Valley awaits you. It now goes down into the valley of the Aigue Agnelle and on to the small town of Molines-en-Queyras. The farmer's and shepherd's village, with its church a little outside, lives from the hospitality industry today. However, it has retained its original character in many places and on a tour you will discover some historic farms and an old bread oven. After just a few kilometers you are back at your starting point near the Chanterane campsite.
