On this very beautiful mountain bike tour you will discover the valleys around Orpierre, a small town with barely more than 400 inhabitants. You start at about 700 meters altitude and conquer another 380 meters altitude during the round tour. The only difficult part awaits you at the Col de Pierre Vesce after a quite strenuous climb, because you need a little experience and safety for the steep and winding descent. If the weather conditions are good, this tour can be used all year round. You start in the mountain village of Orpierre, which is surrounded by high cliffs. In the town center it has retained its medieval character in the small squares and winding streets and is highly recommended for a short walk before or after your tour. The route follows the valley of the Torrent de Villebois for a few kilometers and you finally reach the small hamlet of Villebois-les-Pins. From here the steep driveway to the 1,056 meter high Col de Pierre Vesce begins with its great and wide view of the surrounding region.Three and a half kilometers further, after the technically somewhat more demanding descent, you will reach Laborel a good 200 meters below. If you like, you can take a short break in the local bar and then roll back to Orpierre along the course of the Céans.
